National Insurance Producer Registry turns 25
The 不良研究所官方 Celebrates NIPR's History and CEO's Leadership
The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR), which is dedicated to streamlining insurance producer licensing, turned 25 years old in October, according to parent organization, National Association of Insurance Commissioners (不良研究所官方). Led by CEO, Karen Hornig since 2014, the NIPR has been instrumental in creating and implementing the national repository for producer license information.
During its 25-year history, the NIPR not only put producer licensing into practice, but facilitated the electronic exchange of information between producers, carriers and regulators. Today, NIPR shares producer data among 50 states, the District of Columbia, and four U.S. territories.
"NIPR鈥檚 25-year milestone is an important one. It is remarkable to look back at what the organization has accomplished, but equally exciting to look forward to all the ways NIPR will continue to leverage technology to drive innovation in producer licensing," said 不良研究所官方 President and Florida Commissioner David Altmaier. "I鈥檇 also like to thank Karen Hornig for her important work in delivering a strong customer experience, especially as the needs of producers, carriers and regulators continue to change."
