²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù¹Ù·½â€™s ‘Journal of Insurance Regulation’ Celebrates 40th Anniversary

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ (²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù¹Ù·½) Journal of Insurance Regulation launched in 1982 to be a forum for high-quality research on major regulatory and public policy issues in insurance. The JIR is an open access, peer-reviewed publication that publishes legal, economic, and public policy analyses and empirical studies concerning all aspects of insurance regulation. Over the course of 40 years, the JIR has published over 1,000 articles on dozens of regulatory topics.

In celebration of the Journal's 40th Anniversary, the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù¹Ù·½'s Center for Insurance Policy and Research (CIPR) is hosting an event on Thursday, December 15th, in conjunction with the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù¹Ù·½â€™s 2022 Fall National Meeting. The event will feature a presentation from 2021’s Kimball Award-winning authors, Elizabeth Plummer and William Wempe of Texas Christian University, and a panel discussion on the past and future of regulatory research with current and former JIR editors Kathleen McCullough, Cassandra Cole, Lars Powell, and Terri Vaughan, moderated by CIPR Director Jeff Czajkowski. A reception will follow. The event and reception are open to all National Meeting attendees.
