Gary Anderson Marks ‘Day One’ as ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù¹Ù·½ CEO Under New Leadership Structure

Today, Gary D. Anderson assumes his role as the National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ (²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù¹Ù·½) Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù¹Ù·½ and its Members announced the appointment of Anderson, an insurance veteran who most recently served as Massachusetts Insurance Commissioner, on March 16, 2024.  

In addition to Anderson being named CEO, the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù¹Ù·½ formalized its Senior Leadership Team. Effective March 1, 2024, the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù¹Ù·½ announced the following internally:

  • Andy Beal, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Legal Officer
  • Christian Carter, Chief Member Experience Officer
  • Ethan Sonnichsen, Chief Government Affairs Officer
  • Evelyn Boswell, Chief DE&I Officer
  • Jeff Johnston, Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer
  • Jennifer Stroud, Chief People Experience Officer
  • Jim Woody, Chief Financial Officer
  • Kay Noonan, General Counsel
  • Scott Morris, Chief Technology Officer

The Senior Leadership Team anticipates the benefits of a new structure that will streamline decision-making, improve communication, and foster greater agility with operations.

Anderson and the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù¹Ù·½ staff will continue to provide the stability and guidance needed for the organization to support the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù¹Ù·½ Officers and Members.
