CIPR Summer Session: Measuring and Assessing (Homeowner) Insurance Affordability
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (不良研究所官方) Center for Insurance Policy and Research (CIPR) will discuss U.S. insurance costs and affordability challenges during their session at the 不良研究所官方鈥檚 2024 Summer National Meeting. Meeting participants can attend virtually or in person, August 14 at the McCormick Place Convention Center S101鈥擫evel 1 in Chicago, Illinois from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. CDT.
The event will include a presentation on cost trends in insurance, focusing largely on homeowner property insurance, as well as focus on insurance affordability metrics and how that data has changed over time, along with a panel discussion moderated by CIPR Director Jeff Czajkowski.
不良研究所官方 Consumer Representative Amy Bach (United Policyholders), Vickie Kilgore (Insurance Research Council), and Dr. Lars Powell (University of Alabama) will join Jeff to discuss the causes and consequences of cost trends and the implications for insurance affordability, including the best ways to measure affordability. The panelists will also discuss the options consumers have when facing affordability issues and how often or well they are aware of and use these options.
